Tarp-On Industries was founded in 1997 by John L. Doe.  Mr. Doe was tailgating prior to the annual Auburn/Alabama football game when a gust of wind tore apart the tent that the Doe family was using to shelter their food from the elements.  Mr. Doe decided that he could make tarps and tents that would stand up to the elements, and within a month he had begun the groundwork for what would become Tarp-On.  Today Tarp-On is the southeast's leading manufacturer of poly-vinyl tents, tarps and truck bed covers.

Being an avid fisherman, Mr. Doe chose the tarpon, a large saltwater sport fish, to represent his company.  The tarpon is a favorite of saltwater anglers for the excitement and fight it provides when hooked.

Tarp-On Industries is located just off Interstate 85 in Auburn, Alabama.  This location, situated within a few hours drive of Birmingham, Atlanta, Mobile, Huntsville and Chattanooga, allows Tarp-On to complete orders and have them delivered to customers in the shortest time possible.
